bluehost

Picking out a great hosting company is one of the very first steps to starting a website. Of course, you need a solid brand name, an actual URL, but once you have all of that in place, you need a place to host and start your website. Bluehost is one of the best hosts that I have used, and they are on our short list of hosting providers that we actually recommend using.

I first heard about Bluehost several years ago via Pat Flynn. He had completed a case study where he made an affiliate website from scratch, and in that post he detailed the exact steps that he took, which included setting up hosting for his website. Bluehost happened to be the hosting provider he used and recommended, so I decided to sign up with them as well. That was around 5 years ago, and still maintain that same hosting account with them to this day.

There are a few reasons that I have been happy with Bluehost’s service, and I will go into much more detail about why I like them below, but these are just a few of the biggest reasons that I am still using them:

  • Affordable
  • Awesome Customer Service
  • Fast Websites
  • One-Click Installs
  • Site Back-Ups

The list of things above, are all factors you will want to consider when selecting your hosting provider, and in my opinion, Bluehost as met or exceeded my expectations in all of these areas.

Let’s take a closer look at exactly what Bluehost has to offer, and why you should consider them when picking out a place to host your website.

Which Plan is Best for You?

If you’re starting from scratch, meaning you’re launching a brand new website, then you may want to start with their Basic service, and then work your way up as needed. This will ensure you’re not spending too much money out of the gates, and you can grow into the more expensive plans if your website traffic and growth warrants the additional costs.

If you know for a fact that you’re going to be growing, or you are moving an existing website over to Bluehost’s services, then you may want to go with Plus or Prime. Because their Prime plan is currently the same price as their middle-tier Plus service, I would probably go with Prime.

That said, you really can’t go wrong with any of their plans, it’s just going to depend on your specific needs, and which features and level of storage you feel you need for your website.

Other Hosting Options

In addition to their shared hosting plans, Bluehost also offers the following options:

  • Cloud Hosting
  • VPS Hosting
  • Dedicated Hosting
  • WooCommerce Hosting

So if you’re in need of something a little better than shared hosting, they definitely have you covered. You can learn more about all of their hosting options, how much they cost, and the features they provide at the official Bluehost website.

The Best WordPress & Joomla Hosting?

Bluehost is a great place to host your WordPress or Joomla website. In addition to their free website builder, they have one-click install options for both Bluehost and Joomla, so getting a site up and running really couldn’t be any easier.

Bluehost was where I launched my first ever WordPress website, and I really couldn’t believe how easy everything was. I was used the old FTP days, where you had to edit your site on your computer, and then send all of the files via Filezilla or another service. WordPress has completely changed the game, and if you want to start a website, I recommend going with them. That said, Joomla is a decent opt
