Losing weight is difficult and it becomes even harder around your tummy and hips.
In a situation such as this, it’s important to look at potential solutions available at home. The average person will not want to go out and spend loads of money on unhelpful weight loss programs, which is why it’s time to look at the best home remedies.
While these won’t necessarily work for everyone, these are things I have tried and have had some success with over the years.
As a busy working mom, I’ll take any edge I can get when it comes to trying to keep the weight off!
My Top 10 Fat Blasting Home Remedies – Especially for Your Stomach & Hips
1. Cumin Water
Let’s begin with something as simple as cumin water because it’s a powerful home remedy with tremendous potential.
In general, water is great for the body even if you don’t add cumin into the mix.
The idea is to fill your stomach with something that isn’t high in calories. This will ensure the stomach doesn’t bloat while you don’t starve along the way.
Cumin water is great because it gives the water a bit of taste and also ensures you get valuable nutrients too.
To get the most of this water, you want to add in a sprinkle of cumin powder into a cup of water. This will be more than enough to start making positive changes in your weight loss journey. Remember, it’s important to drink a few cups per day.
2. Organic Tea
Organic teas are wonderful especially when it’s cold outside. You can warm up without losing out on weight loss results. The goal is to find top-tier organic teas that are 100% natural and taste good. It will take a bit of time to find the right mixture but these teas are easy to prepare once you are ready to include them into your routine.
These teas are great because they’re filled with potent antioxidants that flush bad toxins out of your body while improving your metabolic rate.
This is when you start to see positive results.
3. Raw Garlic
If you can get past the smell, garlic is amazing when it comes to weight loss properties. It’s filled with nutrients, acts as a powerful appetite suppressant, and goes well with several dishes in your meal plan. The goal is to sprinkle some into your meals.
With the right exposure to garlic, you are going to notice a change in your tummy and hips faster than ever before. It is one of those changes that will look and feel great making it a wonderful weight loss remedy to keep in mind.
Make sure to organize your garlic consumption by spreading it throughout different meals. This will lead to a more balanced approach when it comes to eating healthy.
4. Lemon Water
As mentioned before, water is a wonderful weight loss tool and that’s not going to be changing anytime soon. As long as the water is pure, it’s going to add tremendous value to your weight loss journey and will be easy to consume.
With lemon water, you’re able to add a bit of taste to the water while eliminating bad toxins from the body.
It’s an ideal mix for people that want to add something to their water. This zesty addition is a no-brainer and is a good way to mix things up when it comes to drinking water.
5. Whole Grains
Whole grains are far better than their starchy counterparts and it’s important to include them in your diet. Starch tends to bloat the stomach and that’s not a good look for anyone. It accentuates your weight around these areas and that’s the last thing people want!
To make sure you push away from this issue, it’s time to look into the merits of whole-grain foods.
These foods are packed with nutrients and are far easier on the body’s metabolism. You are going to notice a complete shift in how you feel with the inclusion of whole grains.
Of course, if you’re following a low-carb diet, then you’ll want to limit your whole grain intake, or even eliminate them altogether.
6. No Sugar
This one has been huge for me! Any time I start to feel the weight creeping on, I can usually chalk it up to too much sugar – or wine ;-).
This is a given and it’s one of the more successful weight loss remedies in the world. The idea is to sit down and cut out all types of unhealthy sugars from your life.
Whether it’s chocolates, candies, pop, or anything else filled with sugar, you have to let them go. The weight is going to drop quickly because these are empty calories that add nothing to your body’s overall well-being.
By cutting out the bad sugars, you are going to have more room to eat healthy foods and lose weight properly. It’s all about making the right decisions and this is one of them, in my humble opinion.
7. Hot Peppers
Hot peppers are underrated when it comes to losing weight around your stomach and hips. These peppers are great because they work well with most dishes and can add a bit of flavor to the meal. Along with the taste, you are also going to enjoy the capsicum that’s present in the hot peppers.
This is important because it helps increase the body’s temperature, which results in weight loss over time.
The proper use of hot peppers is one of the better ways to shed fat without following unhealthy protocols. It’s a simple home remedy anyone can implement in a matter of minutes.
8. Cranberry Juice (In Very Limited Quantities)
If you are not a fan of drinking water then it’s time to look at the next best thing. While water continues to remain number one as an option, it’s important to think about mixing it up with cranberry juice.
The reason cranberry juice and cranberries, in general, are so good has to do with the antioxidants. These antioxidants are great for reducing toxins in the body and improving your digestive health.
Plus, it pushes you away from negative options such as alcohol and pop.
Look into cranberry juice as a wonderful alternative to water if it’s time to shed fat, and you want something that adds a bit of flavor.
9. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has a wonderful list of benefits that anyone can enjoy. It’s all about going with something that’s empowering, easy to manage, and works well over the long-haul.
This is one of those essential oils that are easy on the body and provide exceptional weight loss benefits. For example, you can include this in your meals and notice an uptick in your energy levels and overall health. It’s important to understand the power of coconut oil by eating a small amount with each meal.
It’s going to help wash away the fat slowly but surely, along with a balanced diet and exercise plan, of course.
Cinnamon is a good ingredient to add in your meals throughout the day. A small amount of cinnamon goes a long way in cleansing your body and improving your ability to shed excess fat.
Cinnamon is noted for its nutrients and is also one of the better appetite suppressants in the world. It will do a wonderful job of easing your cravings and making sure the right amount of calories are consumed throughout the day.
You should think about including cinnamon in your meal plans because it will lead to quality results as time goes on.
11. Bonus Tip: Start Keeping a Food Journal
By now you may have heard how powerful a food journal can be. There’s plenty of research supporting their effectiveness, too.
Once you start journaling what you eat and drink over the course of a day, you can start to identify problems areas, or the bad habits that may be causing your weight gain around your tummy and hips in the first place.
For me, it’s those late night ice cream binges!
Once I was able to identify that, I stuck to my regular healthy eating plan, got a moderate amount of exercise, and the weight started coming off again.
Give it a try – I think you’ll be glad you did…
What About Exercise?
Of course, exercise can help, and there are plenty of workouts that you can do at or around your home. It can be as something as simple as going for a brisk walk after dinner, or doing an on demand workout in the comfort of your own home.
Whatever you’re healthy enough for, and comfortable with.
Losing weight in your problem areas is all about implementing the right home remedies. Too many people go through the motions when it comes to eating right and putting together a proper weight loss regimen. To make sure you are on the right path, it’s important to think about small changes you can make in your everyday life.
As we mentioned, a food journal is a great place to start.
Remember, it’s the little details and changes that matter most when it’s time to shed fat, especially around your hips and tummy. As long as you are putting together an in-depth, personalized strategy, you will hopefully start losing the weight.
